Key Benefits
Premium Sway Prevention Without Friction
SwayPro’s design eliminates the friction points used by many other hitches. The result is:
Consistent, automatic sway prevention
Quiet operation with no creaking or grinding
Reliable performance in all weather, including snow and rain
Caster-Designed Hitch Head
The hitch head incorporates caster to keep the trailer tracking directly behind the tow vehicle, improving stability during:
Crosswinds
Passing trucks
Curved or uneven roads
True Spring Steel Bars
High-strength spring bars deliver smooth, controlled weight distribution.
They provide:
Balanced load transfer
Less strain on tow vehicle suspension
Improved steering control
Enhanced braking stability
Rotating Latch System
Blue Ox’s signature rotating latches:
Automatically preload the spring bars
Snap into place securely
Remove the need for pins or clips
Make hookup and disconnect simpler and faster
No Need for a New Hitch When Changing Trailers
If you switch to a different travel trailer:
You keep your hitch head and shank
You only replace the spring bars with the correct tongue-weight rating
This makes SwayPro a long-lasting and cost-effective system.

Towing Recommendation
Although not required in every situation, using a weight distribution hitch is strongly recommended when towing trailers 5,000 lbs or more, especially travel trailers with longer profiles.
Most midsize and half-ton trucks require weight distribution at 5,000 lbs+.
Heavy-duty trucks typically require it between 6,000 and 8,500 lbs, depending on configuration and payload ratings.
Why Airstream Owners Prefer SwayPro
Airstream travel trailers are lightweight, aerodynamic, and built to very specific tongue weight profiles. Blue Ox SwayPro complements these characteristics by providing:
Predictable handling
Reduced sway without harsh friction
Quiet, grease-free operation
Consistent performance across long-distance highway towing
This is the hitch recommended by Airstream and widely used across its owner community.
